State Office of Labor Relations

The State Office of Labor Relations provides labor relations services for state managers and personnel officers in all executive branch agencies except the university system. The bureau chief is designated through Executive Order 1-93 as the Governor's authorized representative in all collective bargaining matters. Staff negotiate labor agreements, provide assistance with contract administration and grievance processing, and represent state management in labor arbitrations and other administrative matters involving collective bargaining and labor relations. The office's goal is to effectively represent the interests of state management while promoting cooperative labor-management relationships.
